About
Leahu Law Group, LLC was founded by Sorin A. Leahu. Prior to starting the firm, Leahu worked at two nationally-recognized law firms representing individuals, businesses, and nonprofits across the country. Consistently recognized by Super Lawyers as a top rated civil litigation attorney (2023-2026), Leahu’s practice focuses on commercial litigation, land use and zoning, employment litigation, and civil rights litigation. In addition, he regularly litigates cases before federal courts in the areas of free speech, the establishment clause, the free exercise clause, class actions, and various election law matters. On the business side, Leahu serves as an advisor and outside general counsel to businesses and nonprofit organizations across the country.
Leahu has served as the Chairman of the Chicago Bar Association Civil Rights and Constitutional Law Committee, is a volunteer attorney with Administer Justice, and serves on the board of the Chicago Chapter of the Christian Legal Society. Leahu received his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois at Chicago Law School in 2014, where he graduated third in his class and was awarded the Order of John Marshall—a local Order of the Coif to recognize excellence in scholarship. While in law school, he was a member of The John Marshall Law Review, a Quarterfinalist in the Herzog Moot Court Competition, and also worked with both federal and state judges, as well as with the office of the Illinois Attorney General. Leahu is also a Blackstone Legal Fellow and an Allied Attorney with the Alliance Defending Freedom.
